So What's happening?


A short post of what I been up to regarding this project.

I needed to take a break and recharge the batteries for this project. There is still a lot of learning and major systems missing. But now the itch is coming back.
The goal is to first dive into 3D modelling, topology, model deformation, animation. Then put that to use and hook all that up with AI and NavMesh solution. Might sound like a lot. It is.
There is a little saving grace at then of it since I already been dipping into AI and NavMesh related things and have more or less modular code to drop in once I get that far.

First I will deal with enemy models and their topology. Right now they look decent but as soon as I start animating them they deform into something nightmare like. So last couple of days I been  diving heads first into topology while streaming on twitch. While not streaming I been more or less constantly had something buzzing around me related to the topic.

This is a big step up compared to what my old creations where. But I am not done yet with the topology. More massaging of the mesh is needed. Especially regarding deformation for animation. So that is the next step.

TL/DR would be. I needed break. Got break. Need skills. Getting skills. Eager to get back to it.
